A take no crap "Princess of PR"

This is book 3 of the Secrets of Stone series. When I got this review, I didn't realize this was the third installment of a series & I worried about being lost…….

Well I wasn't really lost. I was able to follow the story line really well. It definitely got me interested in reading the first 2 books. Bt definitely can be read as a stand alone , you will just have some questions that will want to be answered.

Margaux Asher….A take no crap "Princess of PR". People fear her, men want her. She has secrets of her own that she doesn't want anyone to know about, so she keeps people at length. But she has fallen into a steady friendship with Michael Pearson. Slowly the friendship has changed into some light flirting……then well, she wants more but Michael is being a boy scout and keeping everything "G" rated or at least Margaux thinks so. Margaux has had enough! She wants to push him away, Michael is pushing back emotionally. He wants ins. And this scares Margaux. What makes things harder…They work at the same PR firm.

Michael Pearson- A doting son is putting his law career on hold to go home to help his mama on the family farm for a few weeks. Or is he putting some space between him & Margaux. A few weeks turns into 6 months!! Both Michael & Margaux feels this time apart will be good for them. Margaux feels she can get over her growing feelings for Michael. Little do both of them know that those embers burn hotter than ever when he returns. And Margaux is pissed!!!!!

There is so much involved in their story, but I suck at giving spoilers away so I am stopping while I'm ahead I am really looking forward to getting my hands on the first 2 books. I need the whole

story!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I won't I've the same old recap since you can just see that avoc. This is the first book in the series that I've read and I loved the characters so much I can't wait to read he next book. Bum also going to read the previous books that I missed since I'm so caught up in this now. I have to know what brought the storyline up to his point. You can read this as a stand alone but I hunk you should read them in order because so you'll be caught up from the beginning. I wish I was, but I will be!!!!!!

I expected no less from these ladies! I loved this book!! It was nice seeing a different side to Margaux . She wasn't as bad as I thought she was. I loved watching Margaux and Michael grow, they were adorable. She tried to resist but come on even I couldn't resist Michael!! Oh and I love a good HEA!!
I don't need to write a long review to tell you to read this!! its a no brainer!
I can't wait to see whats next!

Great Book - Read it all.

Starting first with the negatives, of which they are four. First, do not be fooled by the title word "introduction." This is NOT a book for beginners, but rather senior engineers. If you are new to EMC this is not the book for you. Second, information relative to FCC/CE requirements is dated. Also, some tests relative to CE compliance are not covered. Third, though there are many diagrams, there are almost no pictures. In many cases I found a picture, as opposed to a diagram would have been far more explanatory. Lastly (though it does not bother me in the least, but I thought you would like to know), the book has numerous typos through out its 752 pages.
Ahhhhhh, but what the book is, IS ABSOLUTLY WONDERFUL! As an experienced design consultant, I found information in this book that I have not, and could not find anywhere else. The author has A COMMAND of the subject and it shows. Compared to my peers, I consider myself fairly well versed in the subject of EMC as it pertains to design and debug, but I took a back seat when reading. It was useful even re-reading the things I already knew. The author always offered a new insight. Funny, but after I finished (and it took a while to read) my first thought was "I would really like to meet this guy - to personally request a sequel." For what it is, THIS BOOK IS EXCELLENT, well worth the asking price.

A very good book on electromagnetics

So the main focus of this book is purportedly EMC, but I find that it really is more of a general electromagnetics book than one dedicated to EMC. I actually find that I reach for this book more often than my other electromagnetics books when I have a question that I need answered, since it seems to have the working engineer in mind instead of those just learning electromagnetics for the first time (ie less focus solving various wave equations and more emphasis getting the job done). However, the portions which are dedicated to EMC are still very good.

In general the order of information that is presented is very good. Seldom does he introduce material in an order that requires you to look a few chapters ahead. It is a very organized approach which leads up to the last chapter which is dedicated to EMC design and issues. For example
he has one chapter (ch.2) dedicated to strictly to EMC requirements in the US, EU, and MIL-STD and how they compare. He then uses this information throughout when discussing techniques used in reducing EM fields when getting a product designed for release.

Another strong point of this book is that he has plenty of examples showing the steps. Also at the end of the chapters he has questions and has an answer for nearly every question.

I cannot recommend this book enough. If you want to learn about EMC, are in anyway developing circuit boards for production, or just want a good practical electromagnetics book, then you will not be disappointed with this purchase.

Best in its field

This book is excellent. The author has the unique ability to cover the subject in great detail including all the theory, but yet make the reading very easy and enjoyable. I was amazed that I could read 750 pages of advanced and new material in a few weeks. The book unfortunately has many errors and typos which prevents me from giving it 5 stars.

John s comedy CDs include Entering Marion", Helium", and the recent Broadsides", a duet album with Tom featuring their satire for NPR. John lives in South Nyack, New York. The Illustrated Man of Letters

John Forster was Dickens's best friend and closest companion for almost the entirety of his adult life. His biography of the great man, which came out soon after Dickens's death, surprised Victorian readers with the truths it laid out about Dickens's childhood traumas (particularly working in a blacking factory when his father was in debtors' prison). It remains one of the most famous of all English biographies, and was reissued in this beautiful edition in 2011, the bicentenary year of Dickens' birth. Weighing in at more than five pounds, this beautiful new edition comes complete with all kinds of rare images and with helpful and illuminating supporting materials drawn from a number of media. The editor, Holly Furneaux, should be proud of the splendid work she did assembling this text, which should be indispensable for any Dickens fan or scholar.

the quality of the book is...well...it's like a photocopy of the original book and since getting an original edition would mean having to sell my house, i am grateful for this beautiful and well copied piece. the cover is gorgeous, isn't it? i've dabbled in the reading of it, but have been wanting a copy of Forster's biographical Dickens for a long time. i recommend it, but it is odd to get used to the way the original manuscript sits rather small on each page...

About the Author
The late James Stewart received his M.S. from Stanford University and his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. He did research at the University of London and was influenced by the famous mathematician George Polya at Stanford University. Stewart was most recently Professor of Mathematics at McMaster University, and his research field was harmonic analysis. Stewart was the author of a best-selling calculus textbook series published by Cengage Learning, including CALCULUS, CALCULUS: EARLY TRANSCENDENTALS, and CALCULUS: CONCEPTS AND CONTEXTS, as well as a series of precalculus texts.

Lothar Redlin grew up on Vancouver Island, received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Victoria, and a Ph.D. from McMaster University in 1978. He subsequently did research and taught at the University of Washington, the University of Waterloo, and California State University, Long Beach. He is currently Professor of Mathematics at The Pennsylvania State University, Abington Campus. His research field is topology.

Saleem Watson received his Bachelor of Science degree from Andrews University in Michigan. He did graduate studies at Dalhousie University and McMaster University, where he received his Ph.D. in 1978. He subsequently did research at the Mathematics Institute of the University of Warsaw in Poland. He also taught at The Pennsylvania State University. He is currently Professor of Mathematics at California State University, Long Beach. His research field is functional analysis.

A good book for someone not having done math for 40 years

I'm in my 60's and have not studied math in school for over 40 years. This was my first math book for college since the 60's. I found it easy to read, clear, and too the point. I was able to understand it. That says a lot. Math has always been hard for me, so this book is well done if I can learn from it.

Not very accurate...

I thought at first maybe I had the wrong edition or something, but no... fifth edition it is. Some chapters the answers don't match up with the questions in the book i.e. it will say #107 when it's really the answer to #95, #109 is #97 etc. Some of the chapter test answers are just the wrong problem (some have slight mistakes, like copied down wrong. Others are just a completely different problem). I really expect more than this. I'm going down to the bookstore tomorrow to see if it's just my copy (as none of the other reviewers here seemed to notice). Otherwise I'm contacting the publisher.

On the bright side, the problems which ARE correct have been tremendously helpful. Just as an answer guide should. The only reason it's earned two stars.

I should really give it one, because after all... this IS MATH and accuracy is of utmost importance!!!

Dont expect any help

this is by FAR the worst math text i have ever had the misfortune of being forced to use (university of new mexico). there is absolutely no explanation of principals in terms that even come close to being understandable. the only examples available for review are the most basic explanations possible and shed no light AT ALL on how to solve more elaborate problems. of course the author would make the argument that the user of this text is supposed to know the basics of the principals in the book, to which I would say, the purpose of a book is to LEARN, whether i should or shouldnt already know something is not the point. get used to seeing "heres a problem" and "heres the answer" with no explanation on how to get there. useless.
