Derek Prince is arguably the best Bible teacher I've ever heard or read. His depth of knowledge of both topics and original languages results in clear, concise teaching that blows away the fog...particularly on this topic.
His emphasis on "Watch for Jesus' coming" over trying to figure out all the minutae of end times is great. I'm currently studying this topic and I'm delighted to add this to my stack of reference materials.
Every believer in Christ would gain from reading this comparatively short book. Easy reading, easy to grasp the concepts.

This book is neither a superficial nor a sensational treatment of the subject. It is a very readable scholarly guide to what Christians can expect.

Disney Ukulele music book

I bought his book so I could sing songs with my granddaughters, who happen to love all the Disney songs, especially Frozen. I may know most of the tunes, but need the lyrics. There is a nice selection of 23 popular songs. I'm just learning to play the ukulele after years of playing the guitar and I'm finding I need a lot of practice. The fingering is different on the ukulele. This book helps with easy to follow chord diagrams. Very happy with this purchase.

Awesome Melodic Chords & Classic Disney Songs

I really enjoy the mix of songs in this book. True Disney fans will love this! I will say though (having been playing for two years now) strumming and the notes come a little bit more easier to me - all that to say, it might be more enjoyable for intermediate beginners than just beginners. But if you are just starting out it is a great way to learn notes.

Pathway to Roses-Eternal Wisdom

This book was written almost 100 years ago and still serves as a light in our information drenched world. Love, faith, and abundance weave their way through the pages of this book to create a tangible plan of action for the inspired. So often esoteric topics leave you with a feeling and not a plan, yet this book let's you know that in no uncertain terms, "That faith without works is dead" and life without love is a charade.
Beautiful poems, phenomenal thoughts, provoke a sense of urgency for the reader to move past hope to the combustionable effects of faith filled activities.

Great Book (eBook version CAN be cleaned up!)

The content of this book is marvelous; it's unfortunate that the eBook version appears to be flawed. Unfortunately, the optical character reading required to digitize this book results in lots of flaws. I obtained my epub copy (also very flawed) from a public domain site, researched epub editing tools, downloaded a free epub editing tool and cleaned up the epub version that I got online, and I admit I took a full day and a half cleaning it up (as well as learning about the editing tool), but it looks great now and plays well on my non-Kindle version eBook reader. As to the content - what can I say except inspiring and powerful. I felt privileged working so hard on the epub version knowing that I was "touching" Larson's very words and helping to turn them into a modern format for hopefully others to enjoy. I've signed on to a public domain book archive internet site to which I will be uploading my cleaned-up copy within the next day or so. As I told Druid in response to their comment, I'd be happy to share my version that I've cleaned up and to help anyone with an eBook reader learn how to take advantage of the many online sources for public domain books. My next project is the marvelous "Just Be Glad" booklet by Larson. My best to all who study Larson; our lives should well be changed as a result. [...]

Healing Heart Book - non-denominational

This book is one of my all-time favorites. It is my go to book for many things and situations. I also read a passage before I meditate. One of my favorite passages: "Love those who have mistreated you. Love them with the very deepest power of your soul and they will soon come to you and make everything right again."

This has been my motto and I see it come true every time. Larson has such a beautiful way of educating the reader about faith, Christ, Love, and Spirituality.

It is such a blessing to have passages like this throughout the entire book. I've told many people about this breathtaking masterpiece.

It is beautifully written - and over -100 years ago! A true treasure for any library and one of the best gifts money can buy.

The book really is for practitioners...

Its good. Once you get over his British writing style, its a good read. I'm only 1/2 way through, but I have found it very accessible so far. Not only does he talk about the UML diagraming, he talks about the Unified Process (in like 250 pages! - now thats a refreshing break). The book delivers what it promises. Its not a reference guide, but it is definitly *teaching* me some practical stuff.

Shows how to use RUP in real life

Easily approachable and good. The book talks not just about RUP, but also about its roots (OMT, Fusion, objectory etc), and about UML. It also guides the reader through the maze of workflows in the RUP and gives advice on how to configure RUP as a lightweight process for web development. This book is a great contrast to all the other RUP books that are too theoretical to be of any use except for those who already are using RUP.

A practical and useful approach to O-O projects, UML and UP.

This is a rare find. It is a useful combination of many related software engineering topics, with enough O-O history to provide some perspective, and enough detail on the Unified Process & the Unified Modeling Language to provide both an understanding and a practical series of steps for project success.
If your department tries to balance doing things right with doing things quickly, if you're wondering why the UML has become the de facto notation, if you're using Java and want your group to do more object-oriented approaches, if you're thinking you'd like to use Java, or you'd like to use the UML for your design notations, if you've heard object-oriented engineering can provide some benefit.. then you'll probably find this book to move to the top of your 'must read and must share' list.
If you're moving your architecture towards distributed objects and Enterprise JavaBeans, there's some useful advice on designing Java-specific objects.
It is clearly written and easy to follow, and can be read chapter by chapter or as a reference text. I would have only one suggestion for the author. He briefly mentions the similarity between O-O and the Spiral Model or the UP and the Spiral Model. Mr. Hunt would have done well to include an overview of the Spiral Model in his work. [Search the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon for more info. Our design team considers the Spiral Model an important and practical and even useful approach to software engineering projects. Combine the Spiral Model methodology for projects, the Unified Process approach to designs, and the Unified Modeling Language for design notations, and you've got what we consider to be a winning approach to object-oriented software development.
Mr. Hunt provides a valuable book on the UP and the UML with a real world perspective. We're going to buy copies of his book for our entire team.

Good ideas but I hoped for more.

I am a biology teacher. I think this book's idea of presenting students with a question they have to answer with research and evidence is the future of science education, however, it did fall short in some aspects. Some of the virtual labs seem too complicated to figure out. I think i would need to sign up my students one whole lab period just to have them feel comfortable with it. I think they could be more student friendly. Also some labs require lab equipment I do not have. I would have liked to see samples of student work. Out of 27 labs I think I liked 10. Overall good ideas, but Wasnt as impressed. I think this book had the potential to be great.

Slow start

This book starts slow, but it is well the wait. I started to read and thought that I wasn't going to be interested. I am thrilled that I stuck it out. I started crying and then wanted to cheer for the heroine. I didn't want it to end and I can't wait for sequels to this book.

Hot, Hot, Hot.....

I'm a new comer to Virginia Henley and love her books. Desired is the 3rd book Of Virginia's that I've read. I found I couldn't put it down. I've read many historical romances and find that she puts some things in hers that is always a surprise. One scene in this story, Christian is fantasizing about Brianna....and well...let's just say that Virginia is VERY creative....and let's face it...if your into historical romances you've read it all. She proved me wrong when I thought no historical author could suprise me.

Matt Green, BSc, MPhil For the last seven years Matt has been supporting prospective medical and dental students secure their first choice University place. Tom Nolan, BSc, MBBS Tom Nolan graduated from the Royal Free & University College Medical School in 2006. He worked as a junior doctor in the London area, where he completed his foundation training. Alexander Young is a Core Surgical Trainee in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in Bristol. He has over 10 publications in various medical journals together with a certificate in medical education. Outside of medicine he plays football for a non-league side five divisions below the Football Conference and is a keen marathon runner. He is the founder of Future Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the Royal Society of Medicine.
