About the Author
Saul Alinsky was born in Chicago in 1909 and educated first in the streets of that city and then in its university. Graduate work at the University of Chicago in criminology introduced him to the Capone gang, and later to Joliet State Prison, where he studied prison life. 
 
He founded what is known today as the Alinsky ideology and Alinsky concepts of mass organization for power. His work in organizing the poor to fight for their rights as citizens has been internationally recognized. In the late 1930s he organized the Back of the Yards area in Chicago (the neighborhood made famous in Upton Sinclair's The Jungle). Alinsky is not the devil.

Mr.Alinsky is not promoting satanic methods, or even those of maccavelli...torture & warfare, as dr. Ben Carson has suggested yesterday at the roc. Nor is he suggesting dialoguing with the devil, as the pope warned us against last year. He does however, have a lot of good ideas for determined progressive democrats.

Navigate the waters of IVF

My husband and I are trying to conceive and this book is really helping us with all levels of our journey. The author explains all the ins and outs regarding the medical side of infertility.

We have gone through IVF and I wish I had this on hand for that first cycle. I would have know more of what to expect. A great guide if you are considering IVF or medical conception of any kind.

Great book!!

This book is perfect! It explains everything you need to know (and more) about assisted conception. There was a fair amount of focus on the UK specific healthcare system, but I chose to view this as "bonus material". The information was extensive without being overly technical. I highly recommend this book to anyone considering IVF or other fertility assistance. Great Book!
