I am one of those people who read cookbooks like other people read novels. This one was priceless! I may try some of the recipes, too. But the history piece of this book is the best. Loved the spiral binding; stays open while you're cooking. Good job.

This book has recipes that are perfect for individuals that grow their own gardens. I bought it for my sister and her husband. They plant huge amounts of tomatoes and squash in the summer and she is always looking for new ways to prepare the harvest.
